(More customer reviews)LIKES: Although it feels very light weight (almost too light)in your hands it has a capability I didn't see in the other EKG monitors priced under $200. In addition to just pressing the monitor to your chest wall to run an EKG,...this one also comes with a 3 Lead "hard-wire" option to measure EKGs. This option gives much better EKG results and if you have enough medical knowledge to move/repostion the 3 Leads you can actually monitor yourself in any of the 12 Leads! Although they are very clear that this is 'not' a diagnostic quality EKG read out, I could easily differentiate Normal Sinus Rhythm from Rapid Atrial Fibrillation on myself. I believe the read out is clear/crisp enough with the hard wire option that I could determine if someone were having an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (heart attack).The device itself has very limited EKG interpretation software built in.
DISLIKES: I loaded the PC software that comes with it on both my Windows XP and VISTA computers and the software looks pretty impressive for cataloging EKGs for as many different people as you want including height weight Medications allergies and notes for each person and EKG down loaded but I can't get the EKG machine to download EKGs to either of my home computers.
It only comes with 3 electrode stickers (the stickers that go on your chest wall), so end users will have to buy more electrode stickers from another resource if you want to use the 3 Lead 'hard-wire' option.
