(More customer reviews)The Casio EW-S100 is a serious dictionary (actually 3 serious dictionaries) packed into a tiny portable unit. You have to remember that you are consulting a big dictionary, not a phrasebank. The dictionaries go into all the detailed meanings of each word, so for a word like "por", that means 6 pages of meanings, and 35 pages of examples! This is not a dictionary that simply gives you "por == through, by".
I bought this to go to Peru for a year and it was my constant companion -- and after marrying a Peruvian girl, it has been her constant companion ever since as she learned English. It has been in constant use for more than 5 years now. The most important thing is that there are examples and phrases that help you understand how each word is actually used.
I think that if you know how to use a dictionary and are accustomed to that, then using this will come fairly naturally. For those used to asking Google, it doesn't work quite like that, although with a quick search in each of the dictionaries you'll probably find an example of what you are after.
Whether it is worth the money -- I don't know -- but I personally wanted the depth of a serious dictionary so that I could get as good an understanding of the meanings of each word as I could.
